The World Tree Yggdrasil

I've painted this in an artist's traineeship for school. It's done with a technique called mineral painting (at least in German). I painted this on a dry stone plate using the same layers like you do when you use the glaze technique. So this wasn't really a new thing for me. Only had to transfer my knowledge on a stony surface.

The subject is the World Tree Yggdrasil as it's known from the Germanic mythology. It may be not accurate but I allowed myself to give the pictures all eight planets as well as the sun and earth's moon (Midgard and Utgard of the second level) instead of showing all nine worlds used by the original lore. Hope that's not a problem...
